2000V PV wire (UL4703) is required for most modern solar installations and supports higher voltage string configurations up to 1500V DC. 600V PV wire suits smaller residential systems but is being phased out under NEC code updates. We recommend 2000V for all new installations — it provides a wider safety margin and greater flexibility for system design.
Our PV wire is certified to UL4703, USE-2, RHH, and RHW-2 standards — all required by the National Electrical Code (NEC) for photovoltaic systems in the USA. Each reel includes certification markings printed on the jacket for inspection compliance.

Copper PV wire offers higher conductivity and is the standard for residential and commercial solar installations. Aluminum PV wire is lighter and more cost-effective for large utility-scale projects with longer runs where conductor cost is a significant factor. Both options are UL4703-certified and available in multiple AWG sizes.
10 AWG is the most common for residential panel string wiring. 8 AWG and 6 AWG are used for home run cables and larger commercial arrays where longer runs require reduced voltage drop.
