This UL4703-certified 6 AWG copper PV wire, 2000V rated, is available in a 2,500 ft black reel — manufactured in the USA. The largest gauge in our copper PV wire lineup, 6 AWG is specified for high-current main feeder runs, long-distance DC connections, and utility-scale installations where maximum current capacity and minimum voltage drop are required.

When to choose 6 AWG
6 AWG is specified when string currents exceed 40A, DC feeder runs exceed 150 ft, or voltage drop calculations require the lowest possible resistance conductor. It is the standard choice for main feeder runs from combiner boxes to central inverters in commercial and utility-scale projects.
