Why a dedicated crimping tool is required
Solar panel connectors require a specific crimping die geometry to produce a gas-tight crimp that meets the mechanical pull-out force and electrical conductivity requirements for outdoor PV installations. Using a standard or incorrect crimping tool will result in a loose, unreliable connection that may fail under thermal cycling or mechanical stress.
